I'm an Assistant Director at Digic Pictures with 8+ years of experience in the animation industry. I mainly work on cinematic trailers and cutscenes for video games and occasionally animated short films. As Digic bases the animation on mocap for most of its films, I have comprehensive experience organising motion capture shoots and running the set. I love that what we do at Digic helps elevate the players' experience, providing context and further emotional depth.
Like most bookworms, I started writing my own stories early. Then, I became obsessed with text-based RPGs as a teenager, and they have been an important part of my life ever since. I deeply enjoy creating character-driven stories in collaboration with others. With my increasing interest in fantasy and sci-fi, I've started reading in English, too, so I can enjoy books that haven't been translated into my native language, Hungarian. Naturally, as a keen writer, I've started writing in English, too. Though my English was limited back then, I soon realised that I find it liberating to create stories in a language different from my native one.
Because of my deep interest in the "whys" of the English language and my love for writing, I became an English major. Studying English linguistics, literature, and academic writing made me a more observant writer. I enjoy writing more, too, even though I didn't think that was possible. I'm not afraid of a blank page or deadlines anymore, and I've become a massive fan of thesauri.
